Fairways on the Fazio
Austin, Texas

A 25 acre master planned $23 Million residential development situated at the Barton Creek Country Club in Austin, Texas and surrounded by three of the fairways of the award winning Fazio Golf Course. The design criteria proposed forty nine free standing residences situated in a gated community in a European style village with strict architectural design controls and uniform standards. The community was proposed mainly for "empty nesters" who chose to downsize from their existing larger home to a smaller, but very high quality, residence in a secure country club setting where they could enjoy their retirement or semi-retirement.

There were essentially six main floor plans of one and two story homes ranging in size from 2,000 sq. ft. to over 3,800 sq. ft. All the residences were semi-customized to suit individual interior and exterior design tastes and character. The land development and the construction of all the residences was completed by Churchill Development Corporation, and Churchill Construction Corporation of Austin, Texas under the direction of Dr. John Price.

The project architect was internationally acclaimed Jeffrey Berkus of The Berkus Group Architects, in Santa Monica, California. After completion, the development was the recipient of two Gold Nugget awards, sponsored worldwide by Builder Magazine, one being the Grand Award itself for the "Best in the West." The project was also the winner of a number of local building design awards.
